My Father

I don't usually involve my personal life into this blog. But I believe this is a message that I need to convey. I had to take a break at the beginning of this year which can be seen by the lack of my posts. 3 years ago my father got quite sick and was diagnosed with liver cancer. He was diagnosed as Cirrhosis and then later Liver Cancer. Just hearing the "c" word crushed my world. It's the first time a family member was diagnosed with it. Since he was diagnosed I was always hopeful that he would be able to fight it. He was on the list to get a liver from a donor. He was doing well and as life is known to be unexpected - he suddenly at the beginning of the year started to get more sick. He was in and out of the hospital for procedures and then eventually had to stay at the hospital. Unfortunately at the end of  cancer.  I am really close with my father, he is and has always been my best friend, and the most supportive person in my life. It has been tough learning to live without my father, and each day I learn to be strong and remember that he is always with me. I will always love him and cherish the memories that I have.

The main reason for this blog post is not only to give you the update on why I haven't posted lately but to get the message out that there is such a low donor rate that there are patients on the waiting list for organs who wait for years and end up sadly dying before they receiving the organ that they desperately need to enhance their life. You can save a life by giving your consent to donate an organ.

Please register your consent to help out.

Thank you for being so supportive of my blog and stopping by.
