Maybelline Color Whisper

When the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters got released I went crazy thinking that it wasn't going to be permanent and bought so many. They've have become my favorite. This time when I saw Maybelline Color Whispers ($6.99 CDN). I didn't go as crazy since they're permanent. I wanted to try out one first and see how I liked it. I doubt I won't because I'm a complete lip product hoarder and proud of it! I picked up the shade Lust for Blush. I wanted to try out Rose of Attraction since the swatches on blogs have been beautiful, but unfortunately that was not in stock at my Wal-Mart. These are like a lip stick and lip balm combined. They're compared to Revlon Lip Butters. There are 20 shades: (from lightest to darkest) Go Nude, Bare to be Bold, Some Like it Taupe, Mocha Muse, Lust for Blush, Pin Up Peach, Coral Ambition, Orange Attitude, Who Wore It Red-er, Cherry on Top, One Size Fits Pearl, Petal Rebel, Pink Possibilities, Faint for Fuchsia, Rose of Attraction, Made-It Mauve, Berry Ready, Oh La Lilac, Mad for Magenta, and A Plum Prospect.

I love the packaging. I like it better than the Revlon Lip Butters. The only trouble I had is searching for colours. The outside of the tube is a different color that what the lip product is. The color is not indicated at the bottom, there's just the name. I had to take it out to see what the exact color was. The other thing about this is that they're not sealed so you can easily open it up. I ended up getting the tube from the very back.

Lust for Blush is a mauve pink color. I love pinks and I wanted something that I could wear everyday. They're described as giving "see through color", but Lust for Blush is very pigmented.

This makes your lips feel smooth and so light. It's a different feeling than the lip butters. I love how the lip butters melt onto your lips and keep it moisturized. The Color Whispers feel smooth like a lip balm but not as moisturizing. I still love it for days when I don't need the moisture but some color. I like the smooth feeling. I can't wait to try out the other colours.
